Room for a larger food supply
A dry-food container with an up to 15 kg target, designed for convenient refills and cleaning. The final usable capacity will be measured with different kibble types.
XXL automatic dog feeder for large dogs
We are developing an XXL automatic dog feeder with a water supply designed for the practical feeding needs of large dogs.
Our concept targets up to 15 kg of dry dog food, a dispenser designed around larger kibble, a water reservoir with a planned optional garden-hose connection, and a mobile app. Specifications and compatibility will be confirmed by testing before sale.
The challenge
A small hopper and a narrow outlet can be limiting when a dog eats large dry-food pieces and larger meals. Feeder capacity and kibble-size compatibility are different specifications: a 5 L hopper does not necessarily hold 5 kg of food.
Some compact automatic pet feeders specify small dry-food pieces of around 2–12 mm or 2–15 mm, depending on the model. Bigger pieces of XXL-sized dry dog food may exceed those limits. Hopper volume alone does not tell you whether a dispenser can handle a particular kibble.
Our XXL dog feeder is being designed and tested for larger dry kibble. We will publish the actual compatible dimensions, shapes, measured portions and fault-handling results for the finished product.
The planned product
These are development goals. Final features and any numerical kibble compatibility limits will be published after physical tests.
A dry-food container with an up to 15 kg target, designed for convenient refills and cleaning. The final usable capacity will be measured with different kibble types.
A feeding mechanism intended to handle larger dog kibble than some compact pet feeders allow. We plan to test real XXL dry-food shapes before stating a supported size range.
A water reservoir plus a planned optional connection to a suitable garden hose. Cleanability, safe installation and dependable water delivery will guide the final design.
A mobile app is planned for managing and reviewing feeding. Offline operation, fault alerts and available controls will be specified after development.
Travel and everyday life
If your dog is happier at home than in a boarding kennel, an automatic food and water system could support their routine while a trusted person cares for them at home.
That person still needs to check the dog and equipment, clean and refresh drinking water, provide companionship, exercise and toilet breaks, and respond to illness or failures.
Common questions
No. It is a product in development. We will publish confirmed specifications and availability when they are ready.
Not necessarily. The same weight can occupy different volumes depending on the food. We will test usable capacity with real dry foods.
The compatible millimetre range has not been verified. Larger-kibble handling is a design goal. Brand names or bag weights alone cannot establish compatibility.
An optional hose connection is planned. Connection requirements, hygiene and cleaning instructions will be confirmed before sale.
No. Please arrange suitable human care. The feeder may support a consistent routine while your dog stays at home, but does not replace supervision, company, exercise or urgent help.

These links inform the questions we are testing. An individual owner account is not proof that every feeder has the same problem.
Product design and copy will be updated after testing. No price, release date or verified performance specification has been announced.
